4-22-2010 We went to our "pump it up" class to learn about insulin pumps recently. Very interesting. Also one of the ladies at Children's told me type 1 Diabetes is an AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE. For some reason I don't remember hearing or reading that before or I would have researched immune modulators asap! There are immune boosters, drugs that suppress the immune sytem, and immune modulators that regulate (balance) the immune system. (boosting or supressing as needed) So I've ordered some Epicor and will let you know how that goes.
Late on 11-14-09 my 11 yr old daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. The following Tuesday I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.
1-22-2010 - We went to our 2nd diabetes class at the Children's hospital. So much to learn. I will post some things when I can. My wish is that no one gets diabetes. It is a life-altering disease. And right now, it is so time consuming.
This is just the bare beginnings of the research.

wish I would have seen this video about 13 years ago. And why does D help make such a substantial decrease in the risk of diabetes? Can it help after the diagnosis?.....

After watching the video and reading the articles I gave my kids and myself 400 iu of vitamin D3 (i don't know if one form is better than the other yet, although I now that Dana suggests using it with mito cocktail, more on that later...)
