Our son was diagnosed with Autism at age 2. It's a scary diagnosis. He is currently 14 years old, wears diapers, and has never spoken. He knows some sign language gestures, and is smart at some things like computers, though he doesn't seem interested in typing words. So communication is almost impossible.

What we have learned is that Autism is not "one size fits all."
This applies to both causes and treatments.

Our son had traumatic birth...heart rate dropped...forceps delivery which left a hematoma on his head for 2 weeks. And before he could recover from all this, they gave him the Hepatitis B vaccine less than 24 hours after birth.

My son has tested positive for high toxic metal poisoning, (mercury, tin, antimony, arsenic, and others... especially high in lead), ..positive for Measles, and Herpes, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, yeast infections, bacterial infections, metabolism problems, food allergies,...... and now we are suspecting Lyme

I saw this video clip in January 2009:        The Boy Who Couldn't Sleep (chiari malformation) video

While watching this video a lot of bells and whistles went off in my head.
We did go to N.Y. and were seen at the Chiari Institute.

RESULTS

He does not have chiari or related disorder. My son and I both have very slight scoliosis of spine.

My son has a ventricular......something, I'll have to look it up. Some ventricles in his brain a little bigger than they should be....(?)

I have a degenerative disc disease. 2 discs at bottom of spine are degenerating.

So for our scoliosis and my disc disease we will need to be monitored through the years by osteopath, just in case they worsen.

For son's ventricularitiss.....something...pediatric neurologist.

1-30-2011:  We think his biggest issue is heavy metal toxicity. Lead and mercury specific. We will start him again on IV chelation because it has worked the best. Unfortunately, a lot of insurances don't cover this, so sometimes we have to delay treatment due to cost. I hate doing this. But I know I'm not the only one in this situation, and will pray for all of us!
